My husband and I are passionate about adventure. We enjoy meeting new people, trying new foods and experiencing new things. My husband Ian is a medevac paramedic and I am a registered nurse. We both currently live and work in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada where we enjoy many different activities including hiking, biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, and occasionally curling (how Canadian eh?). No matter the activity we are always game and will bring a cheerful attitude.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We live in a small yurt but we do our best to meet up with people for coffee, a hike, or to talk about travel. I have had the privilege of staying with others in their homes, but having a small home and a pet makes it a challenge to host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am very lucky to have had the opportunity to live on a boat for 4 years with my family and travel around the world. I got to see many countries at a very young age. I caught the travel bug early, and the more I travel the more I want to travel. When I first joined CouchSurfing in 2012 I was backpacking SE Asia. I had the opportunity to spend 7 months travelling to 9 different countries: Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. It was a life changing trip, I learned so much about myself, met so many incredible people and experienced so many unique cultures. My hubby has also done a bit of traveling. Australia, NZ, Dominica, Mexico, Jamaica to name a few....Since we've gotten married we have gone to Africa (Zambia and Kenya) to do medical missions.
