About Me

I'm a geographer/geomorphologist, specialised in coastal erosion. I'm a French Canadian from the Montreal suberbs now living in Rimouski, who loves enjoying life, discover new things, new cultures, new countries.

I travel since I'm 9 years old and I one of my passions is horseback riding (classic). My other passion... Cooking! Their nothing like a good breakfast to start a day, or home-made comfort food after during cold winter time (like a warm beef stew when it's -30oC outside!).

Also I love to enjoy the beauty of nature that we see in new landscapes as much as what nature offers us every day. In Rimouski, where I have lived for four years, you can watch a superb sunset on the St-Lawrence River with its special atmosphere depending of the season.

Sky watching is also something I like to do, espescially in late automn or in winter because the sky seems much clearer and you have some chances to see northern lights and shooting stars.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learning is probably the one thing I know I will continue all my life! I'm a curious and open minded person who is interested in sharing knowledge and traveling experiences. I also hope I can make discover Quebec to new people and show how wonderful it can be to live here. Where the landscape and the atmosphere can be so different from one city to another and so changing with the seasons.

Interests

My interests are traveling, cooking, horseback riding, crafts, movies and music, and learning new languages. I'm also a big fan of board games like Catane, Ticket-to-Ride, Scrabble, Risk, Pictionary and almost any card game.
Recently, I've become more interested in learning how to grow a vegetable garden and I've started my first one last summer !

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Definitively old school rock! But also swing, jazz, blues, indie, bluegrass, folk, traditionnal... Bottom line, I like to listen music around the world and new sound from differents instruments that makes your mind travel.

Movies: Action movies like the Marvel's and Indiana Jones, comedy, animation (especially those made by Miyazaki).

Books: I'm not a bookworm but I like fantasy and action stories. Onde or my favorite authors is Dan Brown. Recently, I’ve started reading the books relating Mike Horn’s adventures. I recommand you one of his first expedition: Latitude zero, where he traveled literally around the world at its equator!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I played drum with the bedouins by a firecamp in the Sahara desert, Morocco. I paraglide in the mountains near Wanaka, in South Island of New Zealand. Another thing amazing was to dive with sharks in coral reefs of Tahiti, in French Polynesia.
