About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel to Hawaii, New Zealand, and Japan for learning and new ideas. And to pet lots of dogs.
In my career, my mission is to help people, and reduce harms in healthcare. My longer-term goals include my activist passions such as demilitarization, abolishing the prison-industrial complex in the USA, accessible healthcare for all, restoring Native sovereignty and Native language promotion/access programs, and reducing the pain and heartbreak of the US immigration system.
ABOUT ME
Although I have graduated several times by now, I'm still a student of life, passionate about public health and environmental sciences, looking for many learning opportunities. I can provide good vibes and laughter. Lately I love to go to museums and absorb the different perspectives.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm still working this out. For now, I try to learn as much as possible and share what I already know. I recognize that I am small in the universe and that's okay. We can make big changes while working in community with others.

Making friends and making connections!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed with a really cool dude (Stephen Waters) in Asheville, NC and loved it! And also with Jose Luis in Cajamarca, Peru; we went to Carnaval together and he taught my friend Kelsey and me about the glory of Cajamarca cheese. I had some good and some difficult experiences with men on couch surfing, so these days I prefer to stay with women.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Japan's highest peak, Mt. Fuji, in 2010. Even though it is a peak meant for beginners, it kicked my ass and I was proud to get to the top. Later in Peru, I climbed much higher mountains and they kicked my ass even more! I love it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have lots of knowledge and interest in public health topics and activism strategies!
