Born in Jakarta, grew up in Sunny California. Now Jakarta/Bali is my home away from home.

I am a documentary photographer covering social, environmental, human rights issues in Asia. I am fortunate to be pursuing my passion. I have travelled to almost 2 dozen countries, witnessed both amazing and horrific things and lucky enough to have met so many inspirational people along the way.

Books: I've read a lot of books but these are the ones that made a lasting impression on me — The Alchemist, Shantaram, The Kite Runner, Siddhartha, Bhagavad Gita, The Giving Tree, Love in Time of Cholera.

Movies: Fight Club, City of God, The Godfather, Roman Holiday, Blood Sport, The Departed, Gladiator, The Graduate, HER, The Sandlot, Elf, Good Will Hunting, Restrepo, Waste Land, Serendipity, When Harry Met Sally, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, etc.

Music: I have an eclectic taste in music and I need to listen to it daily. Nothing beats Live shows and I've attended hundreds performances and several large music festivals. Some artists/bands I enjoy: The Roots, Adele, Jill Scott, Ray LaMontagne, Bon Iver, Black Keys, Arcade Fire, Phoenix, Daft Punk, Sade, Norah Jones, Miles Davis, The Foreign Exchange, Miguel Migs, Stevie Wonder, Kendrick Lamar, The Cure, Amy Winehouse, A Tribe Called Quest, Guns N Roses, Ray Charles.

Sky diving, para sailing over Pokhara Nepal, swam with sharks in Thailand, trekking Annapurna Sanctuary in Nepal and reaching Everest Base Camp, Visiting Potala Palace in Tibet, Witnessing 2008 Olympics in China, Watching the sunrise before Angkor Wat in Cambodia, reaching Macchu Picchu via Inca Trail in Peru, surviving terrorist attack in India, snorkeling in Lombok, escaping vicious bite of Komodo Dragons, Documenting Royal Cremation in Bali.

For those who is interested in Photography, I could provide some tips but not just its mechanic or process, but most importantly a new way of seeing the world through the view finder. I am open to share my knowledge and experience with anyone who is interested.
