live and let live

we are free to experience this life however we choose so long as we are not hurtful to others - but the world is also a complicated place so grayness exists where our individual freedom overlaps others. And how much we choose to give or take defines who we each are as human beings

there are too many mysteries in this world (it would be so boring if we know all the answers wouldn't it) for absolute black and whites so I tend to stay away from being judgmental

be distracted by the beauty of this world
stay warm with those I love
stay silly and whimsical even when I get old and wrinkled

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Would love to make friends on my upcoming trip to Paris and Barcelona. Would love to play guide to visiting CSers when I get back home (San Antonio, TX) if anyone comes to this corner of the world. Very new to CS and still need to think about the practical/safety concerns of hosting but would really like to do it.

seriously cliche but since I'm a city girl this one took my breath away: middle-of-nowhere-land somewhere in Texas, can't-see-my-own-fingers-in-front-of-my-nose pitch darkness, lying down, the galaxy swirled above me, so beautiful, feeling so connected with everything...

Also the bioluminescent bay at Vieques island, Puerto Rico - we kayaked out to a secluded stretch of beach, lit a small fire, watched the molten lava sunset, then we kayaked out again into the enveloping darkness, got off the kayak and every move we made the water glowed star-fire, it's the most crazy amazing thing, you can make light-images by spreading water with your fingers, then put on the snorkels and dip your head in the water and it's like moving through a star-field with millions of little lights...
