About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live, laugh, love

ABOUT ME

I am taking my life one day at a time. I live for adventures, big and small. I have been an au pair, volunteered for 6 months for $3 a day, tree planted, worked housekeeping in the rocky mountains, worked at a permaculture farm in Quebec, lived in a small village in Benin and soon I will be doing something else that will inspire me onto the next thing.

Dans ce moment, I'm working in tourism and studying geography/environmental studies at Uni.

PHILOSOPHY

all you need is trust and a little bit of pixie dust.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only met beautiful and amazing people from my affiliation with CS. I have been wined, dined, serenaded, and treated with only kindness. It will always be my intention to pass on this kindness to all who pass my way. :)

Interests

I love music. Live music, radio one hit wonders, my favorite song played over and over on repeat, the beat someone twiddles with their fingers while they are waiting impatiently for something.. All kinds.

I love animals. I am the girl who you speak to when your uncle doesnt want his hedgehog anymore and you dont know what to do with it. I will take it in, care for it and it will become one of my many pets. I just had the opportunity to work an an animal shelter as a animal care/maintenance worker, and it was just as cool as I imagined it would be. I got to clean up lots and lots of poop, but I also got to meet some pretty rad animals. I even managed to name a weiner dog Grover.

I love discovery. Learning new things, seeing new places, meeting interesting people. We live in a big world and there is always something new to discover.

(books)
I love reading. As much as I love adventures, I love spending an afternoon with a great book. Haruki Murakami is my favorite contemporary novelist. I have a book collection dedicated just to him that I consider a prize possession. I am always up for book recommendations, and book exchanges. I am in love with the free library mini-houses that are springing up around the country. I like to have a library card for whatever city I am living in.

The Only Alien on the Planet by Kristen D Randle, Memnoch the Devil by Anne Rice, Terry Pratchett's Discworld, Dune by Frank Herbet (Life changer)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been stung by bees so many times that I have developed an allergy.
