Overview
About Me
I spent more than 20 years working in the corporate world and advertising, but literally got laid off from every job I had. It really made me rethink my career choices and what society expected of me. I decided to stop following what society deemed "acceptable" and started forging my own path instead. Traveling has always been a passion of mine ever since I went to Canada for the first time at 14 years old. So after my last layoff, I focused on my love for travel and I wanted to find a career that I loved and that came naturally to me, one that allowed me to work and travel without being tied down to a laptop or a boss. After a couple of years, I finally found my true calling. I am now a healer and spiritual sounding board/coach, as well as a psychic medium (but don't worry, I can’t your mind!). Finally, I have found THE thing that I love, that is easy and fun, that I can do from anywhere in the world, and can be my own boss :)
I am very flexible and easygoing. Most of my adult travel has been with just a backpack and staying in hostels, so you kind of have to be laid back to make that work for you if you are traveling for any real length of time :) AND, being a healer, I'm a zero judgment kind of person because either I've heard it or been through it. Not much surprises me, but I am easily impressed if that makes any sense.
Also, don't let the psychic thing freak you out. Or do, that's fine too, but you don't have to believe in it for us to get along :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couch surfing is a terrific way to get to know the locals and really get a feel for the countries and cultures I visit. Plus, it's a great way to save some cash, especially since I'm the type to travel for extended periods of time with a pretty flexible itinerary. I usually start with a general idea of where I want to go, but then I like to adjust my plans as I go along and learn more about a place.
I've discovered that meeting people is the key to really understanding different perspectives and cultures. I feel like if I were to travel without connecting with the locals, I'd be missing out on so much!

Music, Movies, and Books
This is waaaaay too hard...the list is endless. But I love almost all kinds of music EXCEPT Country (with the exception of George Strait in the '90's). I love all kinds of movies, from Rom-Coms to documentaries. And books are kind of the same. I love so many and I was an English Lit. major, so my tastes expanded a lot in college. Although I kind of hate American Gothic (sorry!) and have never read War and Peace and really don't ever want to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving
Teach, Learn, Share
Energetic healing, Spanish, How to say "hello" and "thank you" in about 15 languages, marketing and branding, photography, best ways to solo travel without getting lonely, how to teach ESL to Asian kids, how to cook Chicken Milanese (which is one of the few dishes I know), interior design and/or personal styling (if you are into it), if you are at all spiritual, then there is A LOT I can share and am always wanting to learn :)
