About Me
Hey there! My name's Carrie. I'm an upbeat American who is branching out to travel the world a bit more!
I am always to grateful when I have the opportunity to connect with new people, especially from different backgrounds than mine. I love to consider how we can create a better world together by listening to one another, learning about (and from) history, and living in community. I'm a creative, caring person. I like to draw/paint, play guitar and sing. Creative expression is important to me. I'm also involved in activist work, too. I like seeing us come together to fight for improvements like higher wages and rent control, as well as stand up against racism and sexism in the world! I believe that solidarity and relationship-building across borders is crucial for our future.

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of music! I especially enjoy hearing music from other countries. Social justice-oriented and clever hip hop/rap. New Age/Enya-type relaxing music. Even some hard core rock music that has good melodies and poignant lyrics.
Enjoy most movies with interesting plots and scenery. Loved the recent Black Panther movie. Foreign films in general.
I read books about healthy living or positive mindsets, because I care a lot about living the best life I can! I am in graduate school, so read a lot of research and articles about youth development. I am also an activist, so keep up on current events and learning from history.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a national US sailing competition in high school and placed first in my fleet.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about drawing/painting, sailing small boats (help with larger sail boats), community living, youth work.
I am learning Modern Greek, reading Tarot cards, social justice theater activities, social justice movements and tactics around the world, how to travel.
I can share a positive attitude, and relaxed conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Chill, fun conversation. I am also happy and generally open to supporting or helping out however's needed.
