ABOUT ME

We both have been together for more than 6 years long distance. Last year, we got married. However we are still apart in USA and Germany waiting on the Visa Approval for Martin to live with Carrie in USA. Carrie had received her BA in International Studies and Education and currently on her last semester of her dual master programs in International Development and Administration in USA. Martin had received his diploma in Accountant in Germany.We both are deaf, we love to explore the world and to understand the world by seeing it with our eyes. Starting December 29, we will begin our trip in Nairobi, Kenya then to Mombasa, and the safari trip. We will stay in Kenya until January 14th. After that, we will fly to Dubai and stay there for three nights.We are aware that the timeframe is extremely short to see the true beauty of each country's culture. We hope that our couchsurfing host will be able to achieve our desire in traveling by seeing the true meaning of the country itself. We do not want to only see the tourist area country itself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Carrie had once europe backpacked through Europe with her best friend who was member of Couchsurfing. it was the best experience for her where she was able to understand the culture better by seeing the life at home and sharing cultures together. It was really Amazing. Eventually, Carrie introduced Martin to the couchsurfing experience during our Asia Trip for 3 months in 9 different countries. We had the best experience, we are able to achieve our dreams and goals due to the amazing host we had. We decide to continue with this marvelous experience in Kenya and Dubai.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveling throughout Europe and Asia with Couchsurfing was amazing, the most favorite part was to share the culture and understanding it. I am deaf, but sharing was no barriers at all, it enriches the experience itself!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Carrie had once been an exchange student in Germany for a year abroad during her high school in 2004, this is how she met Martin! This experience had broaden her understanding about the diversity, multicultural where she continue to strive for more understanding around the world!
