CURRENT MISSION

I'm off to check out Spain and maybe elsewhere in a week! Last minute travels to leave the US for my birthday and the New Year - a much more fun way to spend the holiday! Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new places and lots of things!

ABOUT ME

I'm looking forward to a somewhat spontaneous trip abroad for a couple weeks to Spain and Portugal for the holidays and hoping to meet some people and do some interesting things! I've never tried couch surfing before by have a friend who has. I get along very well with lots of different people, and look forward to this experience and the new people it will bring into my life! Traveling in hotels has never been my thing, and hostels, while ok, is still a bit touch and go sometimes. I hope to meet some other people similar to me with some time to do some exploring over the holidays and also looking to just hang out! And I'd love to have you visit back in the states sometime too!

Some things I like to do when traveling -
- walk and run and hike and even bike around cities I visit. Mostly walking though!
- visit local markets and see the different neighborhoods
- see old buildings and different architecture and take lots of pictures
- eat lots of good foods!

Other than this I'm open to lots of different things when traveling on this trip! Doubt it will be warm enough to lay out on any beaches but perhaps life might still find me a beach to wander in Portugal. What do you want to hang out and do on your break that you never seem to get out to do in your city? Let's go!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new! Looking to meet people and try this out for my first time, and hopefully be a contributor in the future! I have a group of friends that will soon be crashing at my home to do some skiing in Wisconsin, and I make some good eggs for breakfast too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

totally a newbie. I've slept on many friends couches before and met people to stay with on Craigslist, and have had good experiences with all of these things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran Boston, that was a pretty amazing experience (at least the start of the race was!). I've lived in Portland which is an amazing magical place. Seattle was pretty cool too. I have not yet given birth but that would probably not be something I'd forget (kind of being silly here but serious too!)!

hm. I have an education as an engineer and started a naturopathic medicine program and am currently somewhere between these two things. I've been known to make buttons and give them away on the street. I also do drive by (run by) cookie drop offs sometimes.
