About Me
I grew up in Frankston, a seaside suburb one hour south of Melbourne. After I graduated I worked some office jobs but I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with myself. Convinced there was more to life, I bought a one way ticket to see some family in Malaysia and decided to travel throughout South East Asia for three months.
When I reluctantly came home, I committed to working 6 days a week and seven months later, I flew off to Europe where I backpacked through the continent for an entire year. I am now back in Melbourne and would love to pay it back and host some travelers in my home, 40 mins from the city.
My housemates and I are veggie/vegan meaning that we don’t allow meat in the house. We don’t care what you eat outside but if you cannot go one meal without meat then this is not the place for you 🙂 ****Please confirm you are ok with this when you send a request!***
Currently I am maybe accepting guests however I am also caring for an ill family member so I may have too much on my plate to host or meet up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling breaks down barriers between culture, age, language and comfort zones. I want to meet more people who know there's a whole world waiting for them out there 🌎
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to mainly post hardcore/pop punk, but get totally down to some Justin Bieber as well.
I really enjoy reading too but I'm terrible at motivating myself to start. Favourite authors include Jodi Picoult, Oscar Wilde and Philippa Gregory and fantasy series always go down well. My favourite book is White Oleander by Janet Fitch and The Anatomy of Being by Shinji Moon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
ONE??!?
- I've swam (twice) in bioluminescent plankton ✨
- Wine fight in Requena, Spain 🍇
- Watched thousands of lanterns float down the Mekong River in Laos to celebrate the end of Buddhist lent 🎋
- Climbed Kjeragbolten (that boulder wedged between two cliffs in Norway) - scariest moment of my life 👟
I've hitchhiked solo through 21 countries 👍🏻
Teach, Learn, Share
I learnt how to ride a scooter in Asia but now I want to learn to ride a proper motorbike.
I have my WSET 2 in Wine and Spirits so despite the famous Aussie goonsack, I can also tell you a little bit about wine... I'll never say no to a Gamay, Gewurztraminer or G&T!
I am super into sustainability and currently learning how to ferment and pickle foods (any tips appreciated!!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am ~conversationally fluent in Mandarin and grew up with Cantonese so I can teach you the basics.
I really enjoy cooking my hosts a meal!
I haven't played in a long time but I used to play tennis for 11 years at a state/national level if you want to practice 🎾
