About Me
Hello!
I really appreciate you’re taking the time to read my profile.
/******SUMMARY*******/
I'm from Spain, lived and worked in León for most of my professional career, and now I have taken some time off my work to study, travel and learn about sustainable energy. I like everything related to sports and outdoor activities.
If you want to read the full extent of my profile, be sure to spare some time and I hope you won’t be disappointed.
/******PERSONAL INFORMATION******/
I’m already 37 as I’m writing this. Some time ago, I decided to step away from the conventional and quit a permanent job ( something which is really not usual in Spain due to our special labour system and family bonds). Since February 2018, I have walked 2000 km along the “Camino de Santiago” from Paris to Santiago de Compostela as a physical and mental training for what’s still to come. I also started to learn some German, but I’m still a beginner.
I’m now traveling the World, starting up in North America and planning to go South afterwards, down to Argentina where I will probably meet some friends and go with them to the Anctarctic. From the onwards, I still don’t know, but I’ve always wanted to visit Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan.
I don’t know how long it’ll take, but I won’t miss this opportunity to explore and discover as much as I can of this amazing World we live in. Even though there’s too many places to go in just a lifetime. And because of that I won’t push it by setting deadlines or rushing things, but will enjoy experiences instead.
I try to get the most of the places I visit and people I meet. I'm a mature, independent and energetic person. I use Couchsurfing and hitchhiking as much as possible to meet locals and get to know about their culture and lives. This is much more interesting for me than cheap hostels. And I have been lucky enough to make some really good friends, both hosting and being hosted.
There’s 5 to 10 € hostels where I could leave my bag during the day and have a sound rest at night, but Couchsurfing is definitely more fulfilling to me than staying anywhere else. If I had wanted to be alone, I could have been so at my own home. It’s sometimes difficult to keep looking for interesting people like you, embarking into a conversation and exposing ourselves, but the reward is more than worth it to me and it’s not the places but the people I meet which remains in the end.
/*****HOSTING DETAILS******/
I won't guarantee to have always a fun and interesting conversation, but I will always be respectful, considerate and grateful when hosted. To me, there’s no greater sensations than feeling comfortable in someone else’s house (and there’s no worse thing than sensing that either you or your host/guest are not at ease).
I can be silent if you are not in the mood for talking, and I have been told I don’t snore at all.
I will try to be reliable about my schedule and adapt to yours even though I can lose my way trying to find your place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There’s several reasons why I’m on Couchsurfing. To sum up: meet interesting people, make new friends, learn about different cultures, have fun, share my experiences and also to give back all the hospitality I received when travelling abroad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
70 km running and 101 km cycling, but not in a row...
Walking 2000 km from Paris to Santiago de Compostela, learning French and meeting incredible people along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m here to learn from others and also to share my experiences.
I am passionate about energy and electricity and want to contribute with my knowledge to bring renewables forward and try to save us all from global warming. If you don’t believe it is already upon us, we can have an interesting conversation about it!
If you are kind enough to host me at your place, I can help you out with anything you may need, be it gardening, doing the dishes or solving an equation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I just want you to know that I took the time to read your profile before sending you any request, in whose case I have liked yours. Whatever your answer may be, thanks for reading up to here and I hope you have a great day (specially after having dedicated a part of it to read these lines...).
As a host, I can show you around the place I live in and give you some recommendations about where to go and must-see places.
