Overview
About Me
I just recently graduated college and moved from Texas to Wisconsin for my first job writing software. But I've worn a lot of different hats before then - I've been a swim teacher, a delivery driver, a lab assistant, a kindergarten teacher, and I had a brief stint as a master sculptor of snow cones (actually, the snow cones sucked, and I was usually the one eating them).
If it doesn't show, I like to try new things and hop off the deep end before giving myself a chance to back out. Each time I do, I grow a little bit and it gets a little less scarier. More often than not, I walk away from it with a friend or two. That being the case, I'm looking to learn and experience as much as I can about travel and unlock a world of deep ends I can jump off.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had the pleasure of hosting travelers a couple times and really enjoyed it! I found it to be a great way to connect meaningfully with friends, old and new, and to get to know my own city on a more personal level as well. I know hosting will help me become the more tidy, social, and hospitable person I aim to be. In the future, I hope to travel as a way of growing as a person and seeking a breadth of new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a pretty open mind when it comes to these. I know a lot of people like to claim that, so try me. If you're passionate about something, share it with me so I can be too!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The thing I'm most proud of is a pit bull named Diamond. I became her foster the day she was going to be put down. She was the most loving, affectionate goober, and in a few months she found a family.
Teach, Learn, Share
My cooking skills include: activating microwave, turning on the stove, opening cans and pouring them into pots. Send help.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live alone in a 1 bedroom apartment of a quiet building. I like to keep it clean. I have a queen sized bed and a couch. My building has a parking lot for visitors, and I have a spot available to use in our parking garage.
Madison is a fantastic city to explore and I love to take people there. Every time I show someone around, I end up stumbling upon something new and exciting.
Countries I’ve Visited
China, Taiwan
