I am from Arizona, USA but am currently studying abroad in London. I study education and am training to become an elementary school teacher when I graduate University in two years. My passions outside of teaching include acting, guitar, and playing the Legend of Zelda video games.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am spending a year in Europe while I study in London, and I'd love to see more countries outside of England. I'm excited to meet new people from other countries and Couchsurfing seemed to be an excellent way of doing just that.

Interests

My interests include teaching, playing guitar, singing, reading, writing, and playing Nintendo games. I also really like exploring and climbing trees.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to a lot of Alternative Pop/Rock music like The Fray, Paramore, Andy Grammar, Ron Pope, Rise Against, Relient K, and Switchfoot.

Movies: I am a film fanatic and watched every single film nominated for the Academy Awards the last two years. I spend way too much of my money at the cinema. My favorite films however are The Dark Knight and Finding Nemo.

Books: The Road by Cormac McCarthy and Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut are my favorites. As a future elementary school teacher, I have also read a ton of picture books for children. One of my goals is to collect a picture book from every country I visit.
