About Me
Hello! I am a medical student from San Francisco trying to experience as much of the world as I can. Before medical school I spent time teaching science to underserved high school kids, doing brain research, and working with a philosophy professor. I love meeting new people and sharing perspectives, experiences, and ideas. I have a passion for the outdoors, and love to camp, ski tour, kayak, trail run, or anything that can get me engaging with our natural surroundings. I like to live simply, happily, and connectedly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some of my favorite experiences traveling have been unexpected connections with people who live in the places I'm visiting. Even staying at airBnBs, I've met such amazing people who are close friends to this day. And I relish the memories I have with them of staying up late, drinking wine, and discussing our views on life and the world. I feel like couchsurfing could be an even more effective way of making these connections as I travel, while also forgoing the formality and expense of other forms of lodging.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Besides my questionable sense of humor... great conversations, travel stories and advice, my cooking, very unreliable diagnosis of medical conditions (I'm not a doctor yet), some california bud (if you're into that, no big deal if you aren't), useless but fascinating facts about the brain, wine made by my family (I grew up on a winery), and who knows what else
