My name is Carsten, and I'm your local down-to-earth, wise Viking-looking-ish dude, ready to show you around in Aarhus! I love doing so while meeting awesome people, and having interesting conversations in the process! That's where you enter the equation ;)

I consider myself open-minded - my spectrum of interests is quite broad, and I'm always interested in trying out new stuff to potentially broaden it further. I enjoy running, death-metal, yin-yoga, nature and computer-sciency stuff, to name a few. Recent new challenges I've taken up include longboarding and martial arts.

I believe in general kindness and respect, and if you value those things too, we're going to get along really well :)

I'm up for spending my time having good talks, going to concerts, doing some outdoor activity or going out for drinks and partying - Hopefully, we share interests in at least one of those activities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's fascinating to chat with other open-minded people from different nationalities and exchange cultures. Helping out friendly strangers from around the world is pretty awesome, and visiting locals is a much cooler way to experience another country!

I consider Couchsurf stays a great opportunity to take in new perspectives, and It can be quite inspiring to share thoughts with a person that has a completely different worldview. I always like to spend at least a little bit of time with my guests to get to know them on some level.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide variety of music. I've listened to a lot to the death metal genre; Opeth, Tool and Dream Theater have been some big ones. For contrast, there's a lot of rap and hip-hop I love as well. Electronic and triphop also populates my playlists. If you can bring some nice musical inspiration, that's definitely a big plus :D

I'm not the greatest movie or series fanatic, but I do love the classic Pulp Fiction and Fight Club. Also, anything sci-fi related is mostly a winner for me.

On top of that, I really love South Park as well as Rick and Morty!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Iceland and drove around in a rental by myself for a week, experiencing the beautiful nature and riding horses!
