About Me

CURRENT MISSION

just back in Taiwan

ABOUT ME

In my home country Germany I always did what I wanted to do, when I was 19, I opened a record shop (2,5 years later I was bankcrupt and gained my first business experience) then by accident I started to work for a theatre company, because somebody got sick, so the stage became the centre of my life for about 12 years. In the big cities I performed on the small stages and in the small cities on the big stages. Then 3 years ago I moved to Taipei City in Taiwan, to study Chinese language and learn about the culture. What I can say about this, it was one of the best decisions in my life, I got a deeper understanding of the meaning of things like friendship and respect. After I finished my studies in Taiwan I went travelling to India for 4 month and then started a to work as a sales representative for a Taiwanese company in Stuttgart the South of Germany.

Back in my home country after more then four years living abroad i suffered from an intensive reverse culture shock. Outside I was still white, but what nobody could see, inside through the years in Taiwan I had developed a second personality, inside I was yellow now. My friend said I am a boiled egg and I guess he was right.

Anyway after almost two years in the wrong job in the wrong city in the spring of 2009 I got fired and was free to travel again. What a joyful time started. One month India and then two month Nepal. I did a 25day trekking tour around the Annapurna.

After the system was fully reloaded I moved back to my second home in Taipei. Here I am back on the payrole again and work for in gaming industry (no not in casino, for a company which is developing and publishing client based online computer games)

Music, Movies, and Books

Last year I was reading all the books from Henry Miller, some of them for the second time, , everything what I could found about him, and the books which influenced him, especially "Art and Artist" from Otto Rank. If you want to become an Artist, I recomnend you to read this, it was helpful for a lot people.

I love movies.

Electronic music is the key to my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was running an open air stage in germany for 5 years, every summer I produced a family musical there. Life is amazing. In 2009 I did a 25 day trekking tour around the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is one of the great things in life to give something to other people. In Taiwan, it was not planed, I was teaching kids and teenagers english. It was easy for me because I could profit from my stage experience, also I love kids. Teaching kids takes a lot of energie, but if you make a good job it pays back double.
The last 3 years I have been a student again, after working in germany for more than 10 years. It is not easy to learn chinese, it takes a painful long time and you have to sit down endless hours to improve your writing, but it opens a lot of doors, and it is something from which I can profit the rest of life, it is inside the brain now and can be acitvated anytime.
