About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm hitchhiking my way around Ireland with my girlfriend for 3 weeks and I'm looking forward to hosting once I get home!

ABOUT ME

I worked for eight months in a Puerto Rican restaurant so that I could travel, and it was totally worth it. Now I'm trying to make the most of it. I currently attend university and workto save up some cash for the next adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

Leave things better than the way you found them. Make the finite into the infinite.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the most interesting part of any place is the people who live in it. There's so much to be learned from locals, whether it's something as simple as the best restaurant in town or as complex as the current political climate of the region.

Interests

I love learning new languages to better connect with people. In fact, learning new languages is one of the main reasons that I'm traveling.

I read all the time, and I welcome book recommendations from everyone.

Coffee, cooking, hiking, exercise, people-watching, good chocolate, learning new things, and conversations that you don't want to end are all on the list as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS (in no particular order):

Every Man Dies Alone - Hans Fallada, The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss, Fight Club - Chuck Palahnuik, Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury, The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald, and more! I'm currently working my way through the classics.

MUSIC:

Classical, Swing/big band, Classic Rock. It's a bit narrow, I know, but I'm always open to expanding my horizons.

MOVIES/TV:

The Usual Suspects, El Mar Adentro, Pulp Fiction, Little Miss Sunshine Avatar the Last Airbender.

All of this is off the top of my head. I'll definitely be updating as I remember more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I refuse to follow this rule of "only one." I've done more than one amazing thing in my life.

I spent three months living, traveling, and working in Ecuador in order to learn Spanish.

I flew to Europe (and got a return ticket) for 169 € using airline points.

I jumped off a very high bridge in Ecuador.

I hitchhiked from Lisbon to Seville.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I said, I have a lot of interests. Perhaps some of my interests interest you, or your interests interest me, and we can share our interests.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good meal, a good conversation, a lifelong friendship.

Countries I’ve Visited

Ecuador, France, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom
