I'm from the United States and am living in Valencia, Spain while I finish my Masters in International Business, focusing on Marketing. I am trying desperately to learn Spanish. Since Valencia is so international, I'm learning other languages almost as fast as Spanish here :D I can say "cheers" in about 10 languages. I love music, traveling, animals, learning, seeing new things, and making new friends. I can't host until I'm back in the US, but am hoping to do some traveling through Europe while I'm here and would love to meet some cool people interested in the same! While I can't host in Valencia and stay pretty busy, I'd be happy to meet up and give a tour or at least send a list of things to see / answer any questions!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I'm a university student who loves to travel and meet people :) I hate feeling like a "tourist" and would love the opportunity to be shown around cities by their locals and to do the same in return.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up on classic rock (The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Led Zeppelin, etc) so they've always got a spot in my heart, but I'm a singer and do a lot of songs by "strong women" (Nora Jones, Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse, Adele) and now I listen to pop, rap, rock, ska, reggae, bluegrass, country, jazz, classical, literally anything but super heavy metal!
I love watching movies. I have an especially large habit of watching romantic comedies but will watch about anything.
Books are great, I enjoy the classics more than modern stuff, but lately I've been reading mostly textbooks and articles :/

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to help anyone with their English, especially if they're hoping to work in America or learn about it. I'd love to become fluent in Spanish and I'd also like to learn how to dance here. To "share," it'd be neat to find other musicians who might want to jam sometime. I'm also happy to give tips on Valencia or answer any questions, especially for students moving here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm tidy and polite and am always up for some exciting stories and laughs! Always happy to help however I can. While CS is never about money, I always ask my hosts to find a nice restaurant I can treat them to because I am so appreciative for the hospitality!
