Chi sono

Part-time student, part-time participant in the working world.

I'm an engineering student from the US who's been lucky enough to get to spend 2015 in Spain. I've done a lot of travelling in my time here and it's amazing to think back on everything that I've seen... but I'm not done quite yet.

My first six months here I spend studying in Madrid and hopping all around Europe on weekends and days off from class. I got to see parts of the world I never had imagined, but while that was exciting, it went by in a flash. Now I'm living and working in Barcelona and trying to make my last few months here really count. I've had an incredible journey and I want to finish strong.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

I can read about new countries and new cities as much as I want, but nothing beats meeting and talking to the people who live there. A lot of my travel has been rushing from tourist site to tourist site, but I want to take a deep breathe and really get to know the people who call these places home. I hope one day I'll be able to return the favor.

Interessi

Soccer (football) -- I'm a huge soccer fan and have been playing all my life. I follow the english premier league pretty closely as well and if you let me, I could talk for hours about it!

Running -- Up until this past year I always hated running but now I'm training for my first marathon. It's a great way to see a city or enjoy the countryside. There's no better feeling that sore calves!

Travelling -- Of course I love it, who doesnt? The world is too big to stay in one place. I've been around Europe a little bit now and I think after working for a couple years I'd like to go to South America.

Engineering -- Some of the stuff that people can think up and build is just... cool. Way cool.

Musica, film e libri

I'm a sucker for good vibes.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Last February/March I spent five days travelling Morocco with a local guide. He took me and a few friends out to Merzouga, by the Algerian Border, where we rode camels into the sands and spent the night in Berber tents. The moon was too bright for us to see anything before going to bed, so my friend woke all of us up before the sun rose to check if we could see something. We walked out of the tents and looked up at the most beautiful sky I've ever seen.

Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa

I can help with English or practice my own Spanish speaking skills; language is an amazing way to connect. It's incredible how

I'd love to swap travel stories with people I meet, exchange tips, and look for recommendations on where to go next!
