I enjoy talking about cars and ideas. I love getting to know my girlfriend's two year old daughter. I can't wait for my brother to be back in the country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet some new people and show them a good time, in my neighborhood or theirs.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done any couchsurfing through the site. I have kept a tidy bag next to a couch in Utah so I could snowboard for weeks at a time. I've slept on many a floor in Montreal, Ann Arbor, East Lansing, Chicago, and Telluride. I don't know what I enjoy most because I've always had a good time when strangers have opened their doors to me.

Interests

Adventure, cars, motogp, sci-fi, welding, technology, raising kids to be responsible adults without making them grow up too fast.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dance Gavin Dance and Prototyperaptor are what I'm listening to the most right now. My current two favorite authors are Cory Doctorow and Paolo Bacigalupi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent amazing thing I experienced was the motogp race at Indianapolis. On the front straight you can stand ~15 feet away from the track. Watching as a two-wheeled rocket goes roaring by at >200mph is a visceral, terrifying thrill that I can't wait to experience again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I spend most of my day looking at spreadsheets. If you have a mass of data in electronic or translatable-to-electronic form, I can probably tease a fair amount of useful information from it.
