About Me
I am retired as CEO of large-sized NGOs is the USA. Now, I am an author, podcaster, small video producer, and executive life coach working primarily via internet, SKYPE, and telephone. Originally from Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Monterey Bay Area and Napa Valley, I've lived in Connecticut for >10 years. I have traveled internationally my entire life, usually on my own. I attended a private high school in Japan, ASIJ, and studied at CCAC, UC Berkeley, Stanford and other SFBA universities.
For the past few years, I have been tied to Connecticut and shorter trips via car because of Rebel, my aussie cattle dog, who would have been 15 in July 2017. I had to let go of Rebel in May 2017, and while it has broken my heart, it has also set me free to once again travel and ultimately find the place I want to settle down.
For now I am pet sitting and house sitting. I want to end up in Europe, I think, but am not ready to make a commitment to a permanent place. 2017 and 2018 are about exploring different regions of North America that interest me. I am traveling by car to the various housesit locations and am booked through July 2018. When traveling from one housesit to another I am hoping to use couch surfing as a way to briefly explore the people and places along the way.
I am extremely tidy and clean. I am healthy and willing to learn what I don't know. I am single with no real desire to be otherwise. While I only speak English, I can quickly reacclimate to Spanish, French and German because I used to read and write these languages. I am studying Portuguese. I am respectful and quick to acknowledge my short comings in speaking a language and very willing to learn and be laughed at when I make mistakes in language. I've never found it to be a barrier in my travels.
I like animals, theater, art, music, literature, hiking and other outdoor activities. I am happy to cook a meal for my hosts if they would like, since cooking is a passion of mine. I am also happy to offer a host one hour of my coaching services for free.
My stays are only gong to be one or two nights since I will be traveling to a housesitting engagement.

Music, Movies, and Books
Wind in the Willows is my lifetime favorite book I don't have single favorites for things as it depends on my mood and what I've recently done, seen or read. Stranger Things for TV right now, The oman in White for literature at the moment, my own books which can be found on Amazon are also favorites, just recently saw Avenue Q and was entertained, have been hiking the Long Path this 2017 summer and traveling around North American though I am taking a short trip to Portugal after Thanksgiving and considering the nomad train in September of 2018 after a few month in Ecuador.
