About Me
I'm a philsophy student by trade and by heart - I try to do anything which challenges the way I think about the world. The more people I meet and cultures I peek into, the more battered and bent my views become. But that can only be a good thing right?
My second love is adventure - whether it's exploring coastal towns near where I live in England, driving into the outback in Australia, or trying a dish I can't pronouce the name of.
Which brings me to number three: Food. After spending a year living in Melbourne and eating some of the best food of my life, I'm scared anywhere else I live in future will only be a disappointment. I hope not.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I can't really think of a better way to explore a place than by staying with someone who already lives there and can give you an insight into the culture, and point you in the direction of the best restaurants. Hostels are great fun but not a great way to meet anyone who actually lives whereever you're visiting!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I shaved my head to see how people's perceptions of me would change.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I know a fantastic tractor joke.
I would also love to cook with/for my host, and share many good conversations and stories.
If I can ever afford a beautiful house in the British countryside my door would always be open. Unfortunately I doubt I will.
