Overview
About Me
I am friendly, passionate and like to smile a lot. I love sharing and hearing people's stories. I'm very straight-talking, and pretty emotionally chilled.
I have very recently got married and moved to the Isle of Skye (although still a student in Glasgow). Previously I've worked with asylum seekers in Glasgow, in development overseas and in ESOL education. We house share with which sadly means we don't have a home to share. This is difficult as I love hosting and welcoming people to my wonderful home country - Scotland. I'm also brand new to Skye so not got a lot of knowledge (yet!).
"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for – and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool – for love – for your dreams – for the adventure of being alive."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel more for fun and not just for work. When I travel I want to stay with locals to get to hear good stories and make friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've helped to start and grow a development NGO in eastern DRC. Particularly I run projects focused on women's development. We sponsor women to go through post-rape surgery and I run a women's sponsorship programme called 'Heshima' (meaning dignity) that sponsors women who've suffered in the war to start small businesses and support themselves.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to try and pick up the local language for fun and to show respect. Please teach me!
I am curious about coffee - how do you make yours?
