About Me

What kickstarted my wanderlust:
During my first spontaneous travel alone, after I was fired, I found and build a cave house in Granada. Subsequently, I discovered hitchhiking and planned to make a world trip without real preparing and hardly any money. Although, that ended after traveling through Europe for about nine months, I learned a lot during that year and became a bit aquinted with what it means to live on the road.

I try to become true to who I really am/want to be and learn about different cultures, religions and ways to perceive and live this life. I believe that through periods of living extreme lifestyles, valuable lessons can be retrieved that shape teach you something essential about yourself and the life. However, in my opinion it is crucial to find balance in counterbalance as well, for in extreme philosophies much is overlooked and there is no place for reality.

I enjoy meeting free open minded spirits who can enjoy the little things in life, share beautiful experiences and have meaningful conversations (Big talk). I'm full of energy, quite spontaneous and adventurous, always eager to step outside my comfort zone, because that's where you start to live. Love to dance to good music anywhere anytime and start a party. With open eyes I try to look for ways to develop myself, whether it's a new way of perceiving the world, a set of new skills, knowledge, interesting experiences or explorations of a different mindset. I love to write and meditate since it are amazing ways of exploring my mind and reflect on myself, therfore helping me to live my own legend to the fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got fired, partied all night, flew to Manchester only to discover there that my sleeping place had canceled. After a good laugh, I discovered Couchsurfing and it came to the rescue with loads of loving caring people opening my world to travel. Which eventually resulted in me living in and building a cave in Granada!

I enjoy sharing, getting to know travelers from all over the world, learning from each other and creating connections.

Interests

I love to find creative practical solutions for all kind of problems, like building things with recycled stuff. Besides I'm very interested in the ways of the mind, how the brain works and how you can influence your perception of the world by different mindsets. At the moment I'm trying to get to know my mind by learning meditation, mindfulness and studying psychology and great literary works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Build a home in a cave using only recycled material and learning along the way.

I randomly hiked into the mountains of Granada, after I searched for a cave where my cousin was supposed to live without succes. After an hour I spotted a plateau of grass at the side of a hill across the valley. Trough the vale I walked to discover a couple of caves and signs that people had dwelled at the plateau before. Building a little fireplace I had a beautiful view of the mountains with Granada in the distant lighted up by night. There I slept in one small hole in the mountain on an improvised bed made of a wooden shelf and a canvas laying around. Early that morning I slid down a bit and woke up, while the bed was on a slope. Thinking of a way to straighten the shelf I sat up to see a fox with a dead rabbit in its mouth. Without noticing me its slowly strolls by over the grass in front of my little cavern. Magical welcome to Granada.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A set of interested ears with a willingness to allow myself to understand and accept whoever you truly are. Reflections on life, inquiries about what makes life worthwhile for you and stories of my travels, demise into Chaos, resurfacing into Order and the never ceasing wrestle between the two which creates a balance of sorts. I love discourse about the nature of reality, the workings of the universe, the infinitely complex questions of consciousness and its implications for being human or dive into the depths of our psyches, our hardest challenges, defeats and how we dealt with them or are dealing with them, personal decent into the underworld and the deeply significant lessons with which we ascended to our brightest stars.

I could show and teach you some staff spinning and other flow arts if you're interested
Whatever you need help with I'm glad to be of assistance.
