CURRENT MISSION
**********************************
JUNE 2015 UPDATE:
This profile hasn't been updated since we made it in 2011 :) so here goes;
The "Casa Bhavani" project worked out well, but short-lived. in a nutshell:
after about 6months of running the casa in TLV we closed it down, Got pregnant and moved to Melbourne Australia (well Emily got pregnant, Nimmy witnessed it). We used HELPX whilst in Melbourne and created a small organic herbalism business (Tevaapothecary.com), We had a baby-boy and called him Teva.
CURRENTLY we are staying with family in Israel for a few months and plan to make a trip to Morocco Via Madrid. Afterwards we will return to Oz (or maybe not? who the hell knows!) and continue our quest to....well that's a tough one.
The profile below can tell you a bit about ourselves in general. we are travelling with Teva who is now 2 years old, we are pretty easy to accommodate for and are vegetarian, so please don't be offended if we turn down any speciality meat dish you might have made ;).

ABOUT ME
Before you even begin to read our description please look into our website and then decide if this place is right for you.
So we are Emily and Nimrod, and we can't forget the little indian dog Bhavani, and all the other dogs.....
Or story is story is long and hard to type and I'm not very good at it. But here is an "idea" of us.
We Met in Amsterdam a year ago in a house that inspired us to take a risk and change our lives. We hitchhiked from Amsterdam to Serbia and after enduring all that cold we inconveniently feel in love and flew all the way around the world from new Zealand to Israel in pursuit of visas and crappy pieces of paper that tell us we can live together. So in October we flew to Cyprus and got married somewhere along the road we adopted a little crippled puppy from india and flew her back to Israel with us. Which where we are right now. And decided to make camp for a little while to rest our toes and warm up for the next adventure.
In the mean time we are we are starting a "freegan" project in tel aviv, it's all still "in-the-making"
but we welcome ideas and any sort of contribution.
Otherwise, the only thing we request is that you contribute to our project in some way shape or form, it can be coming with us to dumpster dive or just watering the garden (or doing dishes!)
We really would like to sit and talk with you if we have the time, but if your in a rush, and just need a bed to sleep on, don't hesitate, we welcome everyone and would love to help however we can, please feel free to contact us about whatever, whenever :)
PHILOSOPHY
to live a good happy and whole life, to not be tied down to any external system, to live a free life with a smile everyday.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If you decided you want to stay and take part in our project, then there will be many ways in which you can participate. First of all from the moment you enter the house, you are not only a guest but also a host. The way we see it, is that the house is just as much yours as ours. We dumpster dive everything, or mostly everything. Because we just recently moved in, the house is pretty empty at this stage so we are keeping our eyes peeled for anything useful for the house. We are still learning about the area that we just moved to. So just helping mark places on the "dumpster map", would be loads of help. We really try to emphasis the fact that this is a house to share, everything inside the house is shared except for those things that people do not wish to share (maybe your a bit attached to your toothbrush:). Share what you want, take what you need, this is basically the philosophy of the house and this stretches to everything and anything, simply helping someone to cook dinner or feed the dogs, or maybe just a bit of cleaning or maybe drawing a picture to hang on the wall.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nimrod and I have been traveling the world for the last 2 and a half years so if it wasn't couch surfing that we used we used many other means staying in tents, communes, communities, squats. Whatever wherever as long as we found a place to sleep.
Here is a little story from some of our experiences.

Interests
There isn't much that the two of us together aren't interested in. After traveling for such a long time the world opened up to us and showed us all its endless possibilities. So right now we are focusing on our project of living a freegan life and trying to spread the word of this "lifestyle", eg, Hitchhicking, dumpster diving, camping the list goes on.
Other things that we are doing, such as working with a local animal shelter, we temporarily house dogs for the shelter until they find good home. this is probobly one of Emily's greatest passions in life is to work with animals and strengthen animals rights all over the planet.
I don't want to write to much more because I'll go on forever and I would much rather sit with you drink tea and explain face to face what all our passions and interests in life are
- animals
- dogs
- cooking
- vegetarian
- running
- drinking
- gardening
- traveling
- dumpster diving
- drawing
- camping
