About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take life one day at a time and enjoy it to the fullest!

ABOUT ME

For the past few years, before joining Peace Corps I've lived a pretty nomadic lifestyle. Now that I've finally unpacked my bags and found myself with a permanent address for the next 2 years, I've discovered that I'm in the midst of one of the last nomadic cultures on earth.

PHILOSOPHY

“If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home." I love this quote by James Michener and try live by this.

Education is the capacity to confront the situations posed by life

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Khovd Aimag is a beautiful location in Western Mongolia. I have the unique opportunity to spend the next two years of my life here and would love to give those passing through a free place to stay. I've always been a traveler, so I know how it goes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the unique opportunity to host fellow couchsurfers while I lived in Mongolia for 2 years and became hooked. Once my time in Mongolia was up, I surfed my way through Russia and Europe for 3 months and met the most amazing people. I'm happy for the new friends I've made and can ensure all that every one of my organs are intact!

Interests

My number one passion in life is traveling and experiencing new cultures. I love being outdoors, playing sports, listening to music, scuba diving and watching movies. Also, I'm always up for grabbing a drink or 3.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very open-minded in this category and am willing to jump into anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of the most amazing things I've experienced in my life are as follows:

1. Living in Australia for 6 months.
2. Hiking the Great Wall of China.
3. Diving with a Whale Shark in Thailand.
4. Spending 1 month on the Trans-Siberian.
5. Swimming with Hammerheads in Nicaragua.

Because there is no section for amazing things I'm planning on doing, I've created my own:

1. Obtaining my Dive Master certification.
2. Completing my MA degree.
