About Me

I'm Martino. I'm from Pisa and I live in an apartment together with some flatmates (2-3). This will make you find different people in our apartment, depending on who's there and on roommates changes! I'm almost always there if I host someone, but you may as well trust The Flatmates.

People & Pets you may currently find: Martino [speaks English (fluent), French (intermediate), Portuguese (intermediate) and Spanish (learning)], Mauro (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/mauromaurinho) [speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English (fluent)], Fernando [speaks English and Spanish (fluent)], Old Cat [lives in the garden, doesn't speak]

Current Mission: "que el futuro no me sea indiferente, desahuciado está el que tiene que marchar a vivir una cultura diferente"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a way to make our miserable lives better.

As an host, I give a place to rest and a chance to share and see something new to travelers. As a guest, I'll try to share and to have fun together as much as possible, respecting our different needs.

My view of couchsurfing is about freedom: everything has to be spontaneous.

Interests

"Interest: 1) the feeling of wanting to know about something or someone"
Well, in this case, almost everything.

I'm particularly interested in knowing different ways of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Far too many!

Books (authors): Kurt Vonnegut, Italo Calvino, Gabriel García Márquez, Giuseppe Ungaretti, Ignazio Silone, Raymond Queneau, Tiziano Terzani, Aldous Huxley, Maria Bellonci, Neil Gaiman, David Foster Wallace, Hermann Hesse... (to be continued)

Music: almost anything, if it's well played. Can't deny a special love for Beethoven sonatas and variations, Creedence Clear Waters Revival, Bill Evans, Mozart clarinet works, Bob Marley, Slagsmålsklubben, Stefano Bollani and many, many others...(to be continued) as you see I roam around genres with ease.

Movies: it's a bit more complicated. I'm a bit selective about movies even if I challenge myself seeing some trashy one from time to time, which leads to unexpected findings. Some of the most representative of my taste could be: Return of the Killer Tomatoes, Acción Mutante, Brasil, Life Of Brian, The Meaning of Life, Annie Hall, Manhattan, Love and Death, anything made by Sergio Leone or Stanley Kubrick...(to be continued)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My time, my spirits, my food, my place, my friends, my smile.
