I'm an aussie gal who is currently living in Amsterdam with my dutch partner.

We decided to move here to the Netherlands after finishing a cycle tour from Singapore to China last year.

We love to explore and normally our travels are a bit more adventurous but we are changing the tune, and swapping back to backpacking as apposed to our trusty bike-packing method.

We loved the authenticity of travelling the world by bicycle and loved how people would have the generosity to take us in. We are hoping to keep this feeling of seeing a country though the knowledge of local people.

I'm now 27 and have the aim over the next few years to see as much of Europe and the surrounding countries while we live here. Australia is just so far away from everything its nice to be close to so many amazing cultures.

We are shortly starting a family together but that should hopefully not put too much of a halt on our travelling bugs.

Meeting local people is hands down the best way to experience a country especially if you find yourself stuck to a tourist trail. People make all the difference to a country and I have loved meeting and making friends all over the world by staying with locals.

Off the beaten track places are always a favourite, love to throw myself in the deep end and wing most of my trips especially if I cant speak the language. I always try and it always ends up in a funny story. Love to hear about any of your favourite places to go and small unknown hidden gems.

Hiked to Everest base camp with my father. We trekked through the Himalayas for a month and I couldn't have picked a better person to do it with.
