About Me

Hi! I am a free-spirited being exploring this beautiful world we live in. I am always looking to make a connection, whether you’re the cashier at the grocery store or the kind soul hosting me as your CS guest. I am incredibly grateful for the experiences I have had in this life and am looking for ways I can continue to grow while giving back.

In the last year, I have sold/given away nearly all of my possessions in pursuit of traveling the world. I am more interested in acquiring experiences than things. Most recently, I have traveled around the states in my car before backpacking Europe. I have met so many wonderful people this way, including my wonderful new husband, Carlo. I will soon be moving to Italy to live with him, as he is an Italian citizen. He is one of the most talented people I know. His skills range from being a naturopath and electrician; speaking Spanish; cooking delicious, authentic Italian food; knowledge of plants and herbs; massage therapy; to fixing just about anything you can think of. He often exchanges services with locals in his area, and we are both more than happy to provide what we can in return for the kind hospitality hosts are willing and able to provide us while we are traveling. We both prefer to stay with locals, as it it gives us an opportunity to learn about different cultures, connect with new people, and is easier on our budget, allowing us to travel more.

A little about my past, I am a United States Air Force veteran and a registered nurse. My desire it to find ways serve others that align with my values.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m across the board with music, and I’m always open to listening to something new. The last concert I went to was Childish Gambino, but my preferences typically reside in a range from reggae, to 80’s/90’s/00’s, indie rock, classic rock, instrumental, to folk/pop (which is currently my favorite genre) plus more. I like books about spirituality (the Peaceful Warrior series, Celestine Prophecy, The Four Agreements), as well as books about personal growth and development. At the moment I on a role with David Sedaris. It’s impossible not to laugh when listening to one of his books he has narrated.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Car camp through northern Spain. Watch the sunset at the Temple of Poseidon in Greece.
