I am excited to be finally joining couch surfing as I have been traveling for a while and heard so many wonderful things! I grew up in Washington DC, USA and have spent that last 10 years living in San Diego, California.

I am on Couchsurfing because I recently quit my management job at a university to travel the world for a year. My goal is 6 continents in 12 months! I would prefer to stay with locals so really understand the places I am visiting than stay in a hotel and only get to see the tourist version.

兴趣

My passion is traveling and meeting new people while I learn their cultures. So far I have traveled to 14 countries and can't wait to grow that list. My other passions are volunteer work, adventure sports, and drinking wine.

I love lots of different kinds of music but my favorite band is Sublime. I mostly listen to rock and reggae. I also really like mystery and action movies and love both fiction and non-fiction books. Recently I read, My Name is Malala which I really enjoyed.
