ABOUT ME

I like the thrill of meeting new people and learning their stories. I smile often. Nature energizes me. My family is my foundation--I'm the second oldest of six! I delight in silly things, like bubbles and wearing funny costumes; you could say I'm whimsical. I believe all people are intrinsically good.

I believe that everyone is placed in your life for you to learn something from them, whether you know them for a few minutes or a few years.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a few times and have been hosting on and off over the past year. I have been to one St. Louis CS Social. I am also available to meet up or make suggestions of fun things to do in St. Louis.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In college I surfed on church floors during spring break service trips. In spring 2013 I surfed while traveling around Ecuador and Colombia, and in winter 2014 I surfed domestically. As of summer 2014, I've begun hosting surfers in St. Louis. I've had very positive experiences; I have met some really great people & I´m continuously amazed at the kindness and generosity of strangers.

Intereses

I really enjoy playing outside and adventuring. I especially love hiking, camping, backpacking, and travelling, but I'll happily tag along on other activities (even if I'm a novice) such as rock climbing, kayaking, paddleboarding--you name it! I like exploring and trying new things.

I also enjoy lounging with friends, reading, taking pictures, going to concerts, dancing like a fool, meeting strangers, wearing and sharing temporary tattoos, going on long drives with the windows down and the music blastin', swinging outside, watching storms, & volunteering.

Música, películas y libros

Books: I'll always have a softspot in my heart for sci-fi/fantasy novels, but lately I've been reading mostly fiction. I also love mythology and fairy tales from different cultures. All time favorites: The Odyssey, Siddhartha, The Wheel of Time series.

Music: I love seeing live music of any kind. My all-time favorites are Dr. Dog, Portugal. The Man, & Rilo Kiley.

My top movie genres are science fiction, fantasy, indie films, and the occasional documentary.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Hiked at Valle de Cocora near Salento, Colombia, and saw the world's largest wax palm trees! It looked like something from a Dr. Seuss book.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I would love to learn phrases in other languages or tips for cooking. I'm also interested in learning more about gardening & I'm always seeking information about places to visit.

I can teach you how to bake homemade apple pie, or you can practice English with me!

Tip: If you've never gone mushroom hunting before, you should try it. It taught me to slow down and appreciate all the little details.
