About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find peace where I'm at, in everything I do.

ABOUT ME

Adventurous traveler looking to experience and take part in local culture wherever I go!

PHILOSOPHY

I am very connected to nature, especially forests and mountains. Being in nature and traveling are very important to me, and without opportunities for either I feel empty. I believe God has made me this way, and I use both to seek Him and teach others about Him.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Books: Works of JRR Tolkein, Poe, Thoreau, Annie Dillard, Louis L'Amour, and Theodore Roosevelt, "Jurassic Park", "Into the Wild"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fall 2013: I quit my job and traveled across the country with a friend to work on an organic vegetable farm in Idaho for two months! Wasn't sure if my savings would last the whole time, haha, but it was one of the best experiences of my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some knowledge of aquarium maintenance and repairs, both freshwater and saltwater.

I particularly want to learn about the culture of the places where I stay and the heritage/traditions of the people I stay with, particularly non-USA cultures. Learning new languages also greatly interests me!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I play music so we can jam if you have instruments! I enjoy talking about nature, some philosophy, and simple living.

Countries I’ve Visited
