ABOUT ME

I'm a transportation planner at the University of Washington. My job, in a nutshell, is to help students and employees choose sustainable commute options. I've lived in Seattle for about a year and a half and am absolutely in love with the Puget Sound region. I've thoroughly enjoyed exploring it through biking, sailing, hiking, running, and eating.

Prior to moving to Seattle I lived in Aalborg, Denmark, where I was a Fulbright Fellow studying bicycle transportation. While I was there, I spent a significant amount of my time traveling around Europe--from Nordic skiing with friends in Norway to island hopping in Croatia. I did most of that traveling through Couchsurfing and had truly special, memorable experiences. I'm looking forward to having more unique experiences back home in the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed and did meet ups quite a bit while traveling in Europe as well as doing a few meet ups in Seattle. I do best in low-key environments where I can cook my host a meal, swap stories over drinks or baked goods, or go for a walk around the neighborhood.

Interests

I enjoy exploring new places and learning different customs and traditions. I'm active and interested in transportation, so I love exploring by foot, bicycle, car, train, hot air balloon, you name it!

The sunrises in Chile's Patagonia were pretty stellar as was skiing on the tops of mountains in Norway.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy cooking and love cooking with/for my hosts and guests. I'm learning bicycle repair and am happy to share what I know, but am also eager to learn more.

As an urban planner, I'm alway looking to learn about the history, politics, and social movements of the region I'm in. Also, I'm a very physically active person, but I'm interested in learning more about exercising my mind and spirit, specifically through mindfulness meditation and yoga. Finally, I've done a bit of sailing and kayaking, but am definitely still a novice at both. I love being out on the water
and would love to learn more!
