ABOUT ME

Some of the best conversations I've had, with family, friends, and strangers, have been over a dinner table usually after all the plates are empty and the wine glasses full. I love waking up in the morning and seeing evidences of a party.

It is important to me to feel balanced, to give as much as I receive. I try to apply this to as many aspects of life as I can think of.

I couldn't have written a better life for myself and I am so grateful for every gift and lesson.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to be healthy (physically, emotionally, spiritually), help others be healthy, and help make/keep the natural environment healthy. I believe if I take care of myself then I am better equipped to have a positive impact on the world around me.

If I'm hosting I want to show you the best of whatever amazing city I happen to be living in. If I'm surfing I want a little window to your incredible life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It feels so good to go to a city you've never been to and feel like you have a friend who is willing to open their home and show you around. I've hosted and surfed and enjoy both thoroughly.

Interesses

I am interested in massage therapy, good food, making/teaching art (printmaking), writing, being outside, reading literature, learning, understanding.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Music! Good DJ's are the best. It's so fun to dance to good house music. I also love intimate settings with live bands. Like walking into a jazzy blues club on Bourbon St. Billie Holiday is great for cooking. I also love a good vinyl record night where we all take turns picking records.

I love Jane Austin (I read Pride and Prejudice several times a year), then there are a few pages in Mrs. Dalloway (Virginia Woolfe) that whisk me up and blow me away. I will read them to anyone who will let me.

Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe

I teach art, printmaking (which is carving into wood then stamping it on paper or fabric or any surface really). I can give you some pointers on how to draw. I love to learn.
