ABOUT ME

As of late, most of my life is consumed with studying, but, because I'm fairly addicted to sports, I try to spend an equal amount of time working out and playing whatever kinds of pick-up games I can find. I prefer football (the American version), and track--although finding someone to do sprints with is next to impossible. I also box on a regular basis (although I haven't fought in quite some time). When I get the chance, I love to read. I prefer short stories and poetry because I sometimes lack the attention span necessary to make my way through a novel.

I'm a HUGE animal lover. Especially if they're furry; my current roommate is my cat, Petey. Zoos can be a scary place for me because, if there weren't preventative measures in place, I would probably run up to the tigers and try to hug them--which would go over swimmingly on all fronts, I'm sure.

Because I grew up in the conservative midwest United States, I've had drilled into me--subconsciously I think--an innate sense of keep-to-yourself-ness, and wariness of strangers (my grandma and mother would probably freak if they knew I'm considering couch surfing); but I also like the idea of and meeting new people, exchanging ideas, and learning.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had three couchsurfing experiences, and I'm looking forward to more. I hung out with Isabel in Key West; I arranged a place to stay for PJ on his bike trip through kingsville, and watched some boxing with him; and i hosted four awesome girls doing some celebratory travelling after fall finals.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have my degree in English Education for grades 7-12, and I love teaching and learning about the associated topics--grammar, reading, communications, etc.

Although I haven't had any formal training, I know more than the average bear about exercise and fitness, and I love sharing what I know about this topic.
