My mission is to be happy, to learn, teach and be helpful.

ABOUT ME

I possess many skills and talents that make me welcome wherever I go. I like to cook, don't mind cleaning, love to sing, dance and be around music. I love being outside on the fresh air and exploring new places. And I enjoy talking to people and being helpful when I can. I wish I could tell you I'm fearless, but I suppose sometimes I must settle for being brave. Of course there are days where I am rather shy, as well.

I'm interested in healing, and learning and teaching. I love how there is a greater and greater number of people who are health conscious, and friendly to the earth.

I sing relatively incessantly, and enjoy music, poetry, and clever conversations. I also appreciate silence. Not every communication has to be verbal.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm sure I have a personal philosophy, but it is such a rag-tag, under development kind of thing that I couldn't quite put it into words.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am an intermittent couchsurfer. Somehow, I don't log on often, even though I adore what couchsurfing does in the world.

Every experience I have had with couchsurfers has been amazing in one way or another.

Interests

I would love to explore the landscape and culture of wherever I travel. I like to write poems and songs. I love to listen. I enjoy wandering and wondering. I am interested in what the natural world offers us though it seems to me like many people cannot see her beautiful gifts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, my favorite kind is live and loud. I've been enjoying bluesy jazzy music, but listen to almost anything.

I'm a total bookworm, and I often find myself reading fantasy, historical fiction, and just whatever people recommend to me. I've recently discovered Tom Robbins and find his work delightful.

Movies: I'm a tad disdainful of the tube, but have been finding lately that I enjoy nature programs, documentaries, and cheesy 80s movies. If its campy or funny, I'll probably like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've seen is the boundlessness of humanity to all be so very similar and so very different. We are all human, this we share, but we are all very special and unique humans, this we also share.

The most amazing thing I've done is
a) play with tiger cubs
b) embarked on a ten day meditation retreat
c) walked amidst the giant redwoods and sequoias
d) fell in love

Teach, Learn, Share

There are so many things that we all have to offer each other. Skills and talents and knowledge that can be shared and enjoyed by all.
I love to cook, and would gladly give and take tips and knowledge on that front as well as in the worlds of alternative medicine, massage, history, geography, fun facts, fun useless facts, music, singing, dancing (if I feel brave that day or that music hits me just soo sweet) etc. I have a world of curiosity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always willing to be enlisted in the kitchen, and happy to share my voice. Sometimes I share adventures and mischief, and others I'd gladly share a glass of wine or a tot of whiskey.
