ABOUT ME

The world would be a better place if we instituted an adult 'recess' and perhaps nap time. This recess could include tending our community gardens and developing other sustainable life skills and outdoor activities. I choose to live in this "alternative world" and I must say it's a pretty fantastic place.

PHILOSOPHY

True teachers use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross; then, having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own.

You cannot transcend what you do not know. To go beyond yourself, you must know yourself.

I surf couches and have a suitable spot for those who do the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unofficially staying with acquaintances, friends of friends, and hosting the needy. Only recently have I become a legitimate 'CouchSurfer'.

Public service, community engagement, learning, sustainable farming, hiking, camping, backpacking, rafting, kayaking, rock climbing..... actually anything to do with rivers/Mountains is pretty A Okay. Laughing, climbing trees, being in the rain, clouds, thunderstorms, trampolines, wine skiing/snowboarding/tubing, tubing on the lake/jet skis, EATING!, Eating again, the moon, Yoga, booze, board games, picture taking, looking at pictures, and beaches.
