Overview
About Me
I tend to take jobs that take me to interesting places.
The Mark Twain quote (and who doesn't love mark twain quotes?) sums it up pretty well:
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my favorite thing about traveling is the fascinating people I meet along the way and the incredible stories they tell. What better way to do that than through couch surfing?
***Couchsurfing in NOT a dating website.
Guys, based on experience this means if you don't have good references and a good reason for messaging expect to get blocked. Many thanks in advance for keeping this a safe and respectful space for all!
Interests
I love being outdoors: camping, hiking, wandering. I'm happy just about anywhere I can see the stars.
Volleyball is my thing, I will always make time for a game on the beach....so who's up to play? I'm also trying to improve at soccer and enjoy a game of ultimate or basketball now and again.

Music, Movies, and Books
The book I read over and over again is Rory Stewart's The Places in Between but I adore reading just about anything i can get my hands on.
I love all kinds of music and enjoy the offbeat movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to some amazing places but honestly it's the little things that leave a lingering sense of awe. Sunrises over the ocean, a pot of tea around a dawn campfire, a hike in the woods, a shared moment of joy with a total stranger, impossible to choose just one!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn words in new languages, so feel free to impart any useful vocabulary on me!
and I'm always happy to exchange travel stories over a cup of tea or a good beer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I bring an easy laugh, a willingness to pick you up trinkets (or duty free) from my previous destination, and some great meals/treats if you'll let me near the kitchen (brownies are my specialty)!
