About Me

I'm a former cook recently returned to school to pursue a career in history education. I've lived in and around Philadelphia my whole life and made some great stops on my journey thus far. I want to travel, make connections, and have a few drinks as it continues!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The whole user-based travel thing is awesome (couchsurfing, airbnb, lyft, and so forth). I just started using these services recently, but it's the best way I've ever traveled. Getting to meet people and get a local feel for wherever you are is so much better than being in a hotel or otherwise. I want to meet all sorts of people and get myself out in the world as much as I can.

Interests

I'm an avid music fan. Nothing better than live music.

I love the outdoors. I try to spend time in nature with my dog whenever we're able.

Although I'm on my way out of the trade, I'm a huge fan of great food.

I'm always trying to learn about people. Where they come from, what they believe, where they're going...it's a great big story.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't get enough of live musicians who can really play their instruments. I don't care what kind of music their playing as long as it's real.

Big movie buff. This could go for days.

My return to school has had me wrapped up in history books and I'm digging it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a kid, my dad and I would go up to the Adirondacks and hike the different mountains. One trip, we climbed a bear of a climb called Ampersand, set up camp at the summit, and hung there until the sun came up before we made the trek back down. Pretty awesome experience for an eight-year old (or anyone, for that matter).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a pretty good cook after all this time in restaurants. Love getting in the kitchen with people and having fun cooking and drinking
