ABOUT ME

My name is Casper from Holland and always I am interested in new people all over the world. I received many international people at my home and also stayed at many amazing people, especially during my 1,5 year trip in South America.

I have been fallen in love with this continent. And enjoyed many incredible experiences I never could think about before.

I also started my own business with natural, cultural products from the indigenous culture Mapuche for Chile. I investigated this culture and product ‘Merkén’ during 8 months, where I met many of those indigenous citizens. Even they invited me at their self made houses and New Years party in June. An amazing experience. The last few years I lived in France and visited many new countries, also in Asia. But still, my list is long...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is great to meet new people, to taste the local culture in every country, to meet new friends and to learn from anyone. To have the change to be part of 'their' world, using their behavior is one of the most interesting things I want to experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling on my own for 1.5 year in South America and visiting almost every county (11). Mostly I did this by the local bus and I counted these trips: 30.000 km in 1,5 year, excluded the flights.

When I was young (more young), I played football on professional level and played in big stadiums with and against players who are famous nowadays.

With 3 friends doing crazy things to enter a social group (of friends and business) in my time of university. For example: ‘Go from Amsterdam to Paris tonight and kiss the Eiffel-tower and come back immediately, without money.’ Amazing experiences and moments that changed my life.

Once-in-a-lifetime experience: visiting Antartica without knowing it 1 week before.

My goal is to meet new people and get a touch of local citizens in a country I visit. Going out, walking, hiking, writing my bucket list and sharing new adventures.
