I'm a self-proclaimed nerd of Dutch origins. I've lived abroad for several years, mostly in a community of permaculture badasses in the middle of nowhere, Costa Rica. I have dabbed, to some extent or another, in an eclectic selection of disciplines. I taught myself computer programming when I was a kid, spent years of my free time making electronic music, learned to weld in Guatemala, then shortly after became an English teacher in Costa Rica, with a side job in a furniture workshop. Also, still in Costa Rica, I wound up on a permaculture farm, decided to stay, and lived a very low-key lifestyle, dug trenches, chopped grass, planted trees and did all kinds of carpentry and construction projects. Seemingly, I live to see places, meet people, and never stop learning, growing, and honing skills. Next it's time to get properly serious about the welding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently to find cool places to stay in the places I visit, and meet interesting people at the same time. I'm still prety new to it.

Someday, when life permits, I hope to host cool people and pay it forward.

BOOKS: Only the finest classics -- Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, Douglas Adams, a smattering of philosophical works and practical manuals.

MUSIC: an eclectic selection of genres, from all kinds of rock to psytrance and other electronic styles. favourite bands are kyuss, pink floyd, led zeppelin... orbital, the prodigy.
