ABOUT ME
I just graduated from Hampshire College (a small, alternative liberal arts school in the northeast), in Amherst, Massachusetts. I recently spent the better part of a year traveling by plane, train, bus, and hitchhiking in South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Now that my thesis is over, I'm excited to have the time to host some couchsurfers and give back to the community!
PHILOSOPHY
Here's a summary of Cat's Cradle instead (not my own, this bloggers words are better than my own would be): In Cat's Cradle, the narrator haplessly stumbles across the cynical, cultish figure Bokonon, who populates his religious writings with moronic, twee aphorisms. The great joke of Bokononism is that it forces meaning on what's essentially chaos, and Bokonon himself admits that his writings are lies. If the protagonist's trip to the island nation of San Lorenzo has any cosmic purpose, it's to catalyze a massive tragedy, but the experience makes him a devout Bokononist. It's a religion for people who believe religions are absurd, and an ideal one for Vonnegut-style humanists.
I'm as much a Bokononist as any Bokononist can be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I keep pretty busy, but send me a request and if you sound interesting and authentic--and I have the time for guests--I'll certainly be hosting when I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I spent several months couchsurfing my way through Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia. I have met some indescribably amazing people through this site. It certainly allowed for a different (and much better) experience than my first trip through Europe when I largely stayed at youth hostels.

Music, Movies, and Books
If it wasn't already clear, I'm a Kurt Vonnegut fan. I think he was a ridiculous and wonderful man.
I usually attend events with indie or trap music, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. My taste in music tends to vary from season to season.
