About Me

I'm not very good at talking about myself but I am very good at making lists...

Things I like: sunshine, people watching, old movies, wine, awkward situations, cheese, soft things, laughing, pizza at all times of the day, rubber boots, dance offs, turtles, shoulder kisses, pillows, snowboarding, high fives, and red lipstick.

Things I don't like: pickles, coffee, paper cuts, bad smells, Tom Cruise, being tickled, spicy food, junk mail, scary movies, ticking clocks, not knowing the difference between there, they're and their, umbrellas, falling asleep with my contacts in, and airplane toilets.

I was born in Toronto, Ontario but raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. I left college when I was twenty-one to travel Southeast Asia and Australia in 2013, and I have been travelling ever since!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm the worst tourist ever. No, seriously... When I went to New York City I didn't even get off at Ellis Island because the view of the Statue of Liberty was just as good from the ferry.

I enjoy living like the locals do, seeing things that tourists don't normally get to see. That's what excites me about traveling and that's what led me to this site.

Interests

I like being outdoors. I love to snowboard, skateboard, surfboard... basically anything with a board. I also enjoy doing things that make my heart race like skydiving or bungee jumping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a night dive in Thailand, which was an unreal experience. All you could see was whatever your torch was pointed on, everything else around you was complete darkness. We went to the bottom of the ocean and sat down in the sand, turned off our torches and waved our arms around which triggered the bioluminescence and soon enough we were surrounded by glowing specs, it was amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories! I have an amateur blog where I write about my travel stories and the stories of the people I've met traveling, while adding a little humour. They're not regular travel stories, they are the stories about when things went wrong. Because everyone has at least one nightmare travel story!
