Overview
About Me
Lived for seven years in NYC (undergrad and work at an international aid organization) where I met my partner of eight years, Drew. With the same aid org., moved to Uganda where we lived for +2 years. Now we have moved to Glasgow UK where I am starting my two year Masters program in International Relations.
Drew and I avoid making full schedules to leave options open for adventure. We love to learn new things and are very easy going. We are attempting to gain fluency in Spanish (Drew is a bit better than me) and otherwise enjoy new nature, food and people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have couchsurfed and had wonderful stays. Unfortunately, we are living again in temporary student accommodations and are unable to host people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We were able to use it throughout Germany and had wonderful experiences with all those kind enough to host us. We were very happy that they were involved and kind enough to show us local spots.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything, I am easy to entertain and love new things! Trying to read at least a book a month and a long form article a day, although my masters program is making this considerably more difficult!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked up with some strangers in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Christmas to an active volcano lake (looked like Mordor)! It was an amazing way to end 2016 and highly recommend checking out Nyrigongo if you ever get the chance : )
Teach, Learn, Share
We've been lucky enough to travel around the world and expose ourselves to so many different cultures, skills and sights. It is best to see what we have in common! Of course, I can teach you a couple of guitar chords and perhaps how to juggle if you have three of something handy. We are happy to improve other's English and would love to learn Spanish. Drew is very handy and a computer programmer, so if you have tech questions or problems we might be able to assist.
