About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world and the people in it.

ABOUT ME

Professional writer when not on the road as tour manager in the music industry. Currently on a writing and traveling mission to explore the US.

On February 2, 2009 the money I had set aside for a new apartment was stolen from my weekly hotel room. Instead of getting down or feeling completely lot about what steps to take next, I sat down and came up with a new plan. Something far more enlightening for myself and hopefully others.

So I contacted my publisher, set up a writing
assignment and I am hitting the roads of America. I am not sure
how long I will be on the road or my final destination. I do know that over the next few month I will spend a considerable amount of time hiking, camping, doing volunteer work, working jobs that others seem to forget about and learning more about the people that really make America and our society work.

I would like to take a look at modern day American society and examine how blind many have become to not only the natural world
around us but also to those who truly work hard to
scratch out a living. I intend to camp for much of my
trip, hike significant portions of the PCT and AT, and
work as many "odd" and incredibly interesting jobs as
I can find. Things like tending to horses, bailing
hay, farm work, construction are all very honest hard
working jobs that I think are far under-appreciated in
the digital times we live in. I want to experience
these things and through words share my experiences
with others.

I hope I get the opportunity to couch surf with many of you and talk to you in person to hear your True American Stories.

Oh and I would love to be verified but unfortunately that entails spending $25 on a credit card which is not in my budget at this time. I can provide many references both personal, professional and from CouchSurfing however.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done this years ago and it was interesting to say the least. It was summer in Texas and it the place had no AC, it was HOT!
