About Me

I am a first year biology student, and wish to travel on my off time.
I love to learn, and meet new people.
I love animals and nature, and trying stuff.
Sometimes I write, and a lot of times I read, and I want to know all there is about food.
I love jokes, and getting to the meat of things.

I am finishing up my semester, and getting ready for a trip to Europe for the summer, so unfortunately, I cannot accept any guests at this time. It was making me sad to always say no!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love the be able to meet people of all different cultures and backgrounds.
I also love to host, and cook, and dote on people.

Springtime is just lovely in Milwaukee. So come and stay and be merry! :)

Summer, I will be in Europe. I am excited to meet all kinds of new people there, too! Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Austria.. Maybe some in between, dependent on time and resources!

Interests

I love photography, cooking, gardening, travel(obviously), kayaking/canoeing, and hiking. I like good music, and seeing shows.. I love farm dinners, and theater, and want to learn how to make cheese.
I recently toured Milwaukee's sewage treatment plant, and that was hecka interesting. I like learning how things work, where things go, and how they get there.
I'm also interested in what other people find interesting. Psychology? Perhaps.
I love parks and bodies of water.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like, and will see most movies. Horror to dance.
I like a lot of electronic music.. I like hip hop, too. Anything with meaningful lyrics and/or a sick beat, and you've got me. Caribou to Nicki Minaj(so what!). Josef Salvat, Sylvan Esso, to Wu Tang, and Tribe Called Quest. Last concert? Glen Hansard. I'm not a fan of the really hard stuff, and I tend to move on to new things after a time. Therefore, I don't really stay on the oldies station unless Led Zeppelin is on.

Books are harder. I have read a lot of things, and if I'm being honest, some of my favorites are teen fiction. So. AND SOMETIMES I LIKE A VAMPIRE BOOK, OKAY? (minus the twilight series) But then I like Carson McCullers, and Shakespeare.
I have a lot of cookbooks. I like poetry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm floored by most naturally occurring beauty.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about different perceptions, and experiences.
Basically how other people see the world.
I'm also extremely interested in regional cooking!
Please share any and all favorite recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking ability! (but i'd really like to learn about your own family/life recipes.)
I'm pretty funny.
I have a lot of random knowledge, as most of you do, and I'm pretty good at listening.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Puerto Rico
