About Me
Hello!
I'm Cassian, 23 years old hailing from Melbourne, Australia! Living in this beautiful, yet inconsistently tempered city I enjoy the idea of escaping a harsh winter or burning summer to meet new people, see sites and throw myself into a new country and all that comes with it.
I'm a lover of cities - living in one with so many hidden secrets, I love trying to emulate that in the big or small cities I visit and finding those who can guide the way.
Outside of travel, I've got a massive desire to cook. Love the constant thrill of infinite possibilities to perfecting a recipe in your own unique way. Big big big Cricket fan and get around a bit of Rugby and Baseball.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Solo travel offers a flexibility to engage with more and more people. Just gaining perspective and insight on not just the location I'm in but beyond that. Conversation is universal so I'm always looking to just have a chat wherever, over whatever, whenever!
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Genre allrounder in many respects. I'm desperately trying to catch up on the plethora of both local, western and foreign cinema. All said and done.. I'm a massive Woody Allen and Coen Brothers fan. Can binge a mix of Manhattan, Inside Llewyn Davis or Cafe Society any day. Blade Runner(s) take the cake though
Music: Folk and bluegrass are two of my favourite genres. Massive hip hop and rap fan, with a bit of grunge in there as well. Love gigs and always looking to get out to a local act or performance in the country I'm in.
Books: Anything Ian Fleming. No stranger to comics/graphic novels either... Transmetropolitan, Red Son and Flashpoint all amongst my favourites.
