Overview
About Me
I have traveled all over the world on a tight budget. I have been to Costa Rica, Morocco, France, Amsterdam, and Guatemala. I love living in an area for a few months to really understand what it is like. I want to work overseas one day for a nonprofit and help make the world better. I also dream of starting my own business, so that once day I can fund my own charity and other projects.
I think it is important to accurately represent who I am and what I am like because you know best if we would get along. So here is who I am, to the best of by ability to be subjective.
I graduated from Stetson University with my Bachelor's in Psychology and minors in Sociology. I wish I had waited to go to college because now I am interested in a Biology degree or medical/veterinarian school, but I also love computer science. I guess right now I want to be everything and need to narrow it down to the one passion I am willing to give up the rest of my life for. I will get there, because life is a journey and I am still exploring.
I currently work in IT, and have had multiple wide-ranging roles in the past. I hope to work overseas in the future, if only for a little bit.
I am very shy, and very awkward and that is my biggest obstacle when traveling-- but I don't let it stop me! Even though I am shy, I am super friendly and very talkative once I get comfortable. Sometimes that takes a couple hours, sometimes it takes weeks. However, if you don't mind trying to break through my shell or can tolerate a few social quirks, I am a genuinely caring, nice, outgoing, passionate, individual. I am intelligent, curious, and love to explore. I love reading, binge watching movies, hiking, meeting people (as hard as it can be for an introvert), traveling, learning new ideas, kayaking, camping, and more.
I am more of a spur of the moment, wherever life takes me traveler because it allows me to be open to opportunities and changes, so sometimes it is nice to travel with someone who knows how to make a plan and optimize trip time.
I do want to make it clear that I am not here for sexual encounters. I have had terrible experiences in the past where hosts or guests expected things from me I could not and did not want to give. Don't be a creep.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and have been missing it. I am hoping to meet great people, see the world, and perhaps offer them a stay in my home in America.
I always travel on a tight budget, and so having kind hosts let me stay helps me go farther, but that is not the main reason. One of the reasons I love having a local host is that it makes me more confident to travel with someone who knows an area and can show me its secrets while giving me tips to stay safe in a new country.
Interests
I enjoy almost anything outdoors, so hiking, running, dancing, kayaking, camping, and more. I love the outdoors, but hate the sun (I burn so easy) so I am usually a night owl.
For my lazy activities, I like reading, playing in the internet, discussing sensitive topics, talking an learning about new ideas and things, watching movies, and sleeping in.

1. Walking the rainforests of Monteverde.
2. Living three months in Morocco.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach English, help clean, and share life stories and friendship. I also work as a writing tutor, so I am great with revising essays and doing research, or finding answers to questions. I can also fix your Quickbooks, though I doubt many people need that particular niche skill. :)
