Inherently happy and loyal to my South African home, I love the thrill of the unknown. I love being ripped from the familiar and placed firmly in the unexpected. I thrive on new people, on connections and conversations, on food I cannot pronounce, on dance steps I will never perfect, and on days without itinerary.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing. Time and time again, I have been amazed the kindness of the strangers - and friends - I have met through CouchSurfing. What a wonderful thing for the travelling world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a houseboat trip on Zimbabwe's Lake Kariba in 2010, I was woken late at night to find that the wind had died, turning the lake to glass and causing the millions and millions of stars above us to be perfectly reflected below. It felt as though we were suspended in the sky. Simply breathtaking.
